One of the comments we hear most when people discover our natural bath & body products is, "Wow! You are just like Lush, only cleaner!" I am not going to lie, this is the best compliment we could receive because we all know how amazing Lush is at delivering sexy, fun products for bath & body! As to how natural they really are, that has been left up for debate. There are an amazing amount of accolades for Lush and their corporate culture. They have a strong focus on sourcing ethical ingredients, environmentally responsible packaging and giving back to charity. Choosing to avoid ingredients and suppliers that support animal cruelty is another feather in there corporate cap. HOWEVER.........Even though they claim to be all natural and pure, many Lush products actually contain potentially toxic ingredients. Some of the biggest offenders fall under the "safe synthetic" product description. This umbrella basically masks their questionable "perfumes" and "fragrances" under protected law as a “secret formulas”. This appears to just be a masterful way of hiding whatever ingredient they do not want to disclose. BATH BOMBSSadly, all Lush Bath Bombs do contain fragrance, perfume, or some other possibly toxic ingredient. Their top Bath Bombs do contain propylene glycol, and FD and C Blue #1 and Green #3 dyes. Who wants to bathe in that? Ick! Moreover, since Green #3 may be derived from or tested on animals, I wonder that Lush would even consider using it. But when looking up colours in the Lushopedia, the company says very little about its dyes in general.
We are proud to state that ALL of our signature bath bombs are SLS free, scented with essential oils and most are coloured naturally with botanical ingredients and extracts like dried pumpkin powder, cranberry fibre and more! Who wouldn't want an all natural bath experience?
