TOP DIY GIFTS FOR FATHER'S DAY 2018!

Maybe a birthday or special event?  It is difficult to keep the ideas new and fresh and when the kids and family want to make it personal and special, what can you do? We scoured the internet for you to find some of the most creative, easy and inexpensive DIY ideas and decided that THESE are the most fantastic!

DIY Soap On a Rope

You can buy dad's favourite soap or drop into DIY retail store studios like Chuckling Duckling Farm in Fort Langley. You get to make your own bar of soap (either in a class setting or come for their Soapy Saturdays for a drop in, Make & Take soap craft!  Each weekend they have their soap bar set up for you to come in build your own soap bar, complete with scents to choose from (Dad might like Sandalwood, Citrus or Peppermint) and fun add ons like mini rubber ducks, or gritty exfoliants like cranberry seeds and poppy seeds. Make a standard soap bar or a soap-on-a-rope!

Allow yourself a approximately 30 minutes, 15 minutes to make the soap and 15 for it to chill in the fridge and harden while you shop or go for a walk through the Fort!

Family Name Sign

If you have a Cricut or Silhouette, you know you can cut just about anything into a stencil. Create a masterpiece of your family's surname and all the members of your family (first names) right down to the pets!  This is a fantastic way to show some family pride and show Dad how much you love him!   If you are not crafty and do not have access to a stencil cutter, sign up for an the June 13 th Paint Pallet workshop and they will personalize and pre-cut your stencil for you.  They email you the style sheet and you choose your stain colour, what words you want then you just show up and create your family heirloom!
